SUPERFORTRESS is the New York City Indie-Synth-Rock project lead by Japanese musician NAO. The band has been performing in the Lower East Side for over 5 years, receiving acclaim from publications such as The Village Voice, often compared to David Bowie, Duran Duran, and The Human League.

SUPERFORTRESS released a self-titled album in 2005, making a promotional trip to Berlin, Germany in February 2006. The music video "Why Her, Not Me" has been aired on Chicago's legendary independent music channel JBTV. In that year, the band performed for a MTV Asia sponsored event & appeared at M.E.A.N.Y Fest & CMJ Music Marathon. "Missing People" debuted on collage radio in the fall of 2006, and became heavy rotation on numbers of stations' top charts.
