Cool Event: The Mermaid Parade
Saturday June 21st at 2 pm.
This is an awesome excuse to get out to Coney Island. The parade has classic cars, homemade floats and costumes (amazingly creative) and give you a great excuse to head out to Nathan's Hot Dogs, the Cyclones, Astroland, and the beach.

Total craziness last week... and this
Total craziness last week... and this week we're looking at more of the same: great bands, great fans, and lots of drinks. Rails to Russia returns with their particular version of musical awesomeness and coolosity. (It's always better to make up words than use a thesaurus.) Then, we've got three new bands to show you our freshness dating hasn't expired: the Electric Mess, the States, and Darkhorse round out the evening.
And this week is another installment of the Jupiter Crash Afterparty, with lovely Go Go dancers, indie/glam/electro guest DJs, and a crowd to go with it. Join us til the hour gets small and the BAC gets high!

After last week's mega lineup and Rolling Stones movie promotion, we're going the other way... this week we work with the indie music lovers at the LimeWire Blog to present some great bands... Newbies A Million Years kick it off, followed by Cassettes Won't Listen, who blew us away a couple of years ago at CMJ, and old friends A Brief Smile, who are just damn good. LimeWire guest DJs will keep the afterparty running into new musical territory...

This is another big week! With 5 bands and an amazing movie promotion, how can you go wrong? We kick off with the record release party for our friends Aloud, followed by the Shapes and a Reunion show for the Couriers! The night continues with UK faves Buck Brothers and Aussie rockers the Follow....and all night long, we'll be celebrating the release of the new Martin Scorsese film about the Rolling Stones - "Shine a Light" - with sneak preview passes and more!
