For the second year in a row, Automatic Children is in the Deli Magazine’s list of top NYC bands. Skopemag.com called "Coming over me" "classic indie rock that does not disappoint" and "has hit all over it." Automatic Children released their limited-edition vinyl 45 May 19, 2009 at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. The two singles are “Coming Over Me” and “Solitude”. It was produced by Rob McCulloch (Supple and the musical Attorney for the Damned) and mastered by Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound (TV on the Radio, Sonic Youth, Ra Ra Riot). Automatic Children will be releasing their first full length album in September 2009.
Automatic Children released their EP “It’s Not Me, It’s You” September 20th, 2007 at Southpaw in Brooklyn. Big Takeover magazine called the song Wake Up a “poppy post-punk gem with some of the best this-relationship’s not-working lyrics ever.” Brooklyn Rocks said that “the EP is a lo-fi gem”. Journalists have compared AC to Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Pixies, Sebadoh, X, The Jesus and Mary Chain and the Individuals. NYC clubs that AC have played include Crash Mansion, The Annex, Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene’s Grocery, Coco 66, Trash Bar, Club NME and Legacy Night at the Annex.
